What led you to a career in product development?
When I was still a child, I developed a strong interest in electronic devices like radios. I always wondered what was hidden inside that little box, how it could tell stories and sing songs.
As I grew a little older, I secretly dismantled the radio to see what was inside, discovering things I had never seen before, which rose up my curiosity. At that time, I vowed to create such products in the future and make it cool for everyone to use something I made. From then on, I couldn't stop myself and started creating simple electronic gadgets like electromagnets and headphones.
When I entered university, my interest remained unchanged, and I chose to study electronics engineering as my major. After graduating, I enthusiastically chose a career in product development.
Up until now, I have been working in this industry for over 20 years and have developed numerous products.
Thinking about how these products serve humanity, bringing convenience and help to people, fills me with great pride. It also makes me feel that it is my personal social responsibility. Therefore, I will continue to strive to develop even better products that are more helpful to everyone.

Describe your most rewarding work experience to date.
I have achieved significant milestones in vectored DSL that have been adopted as international standards by ITU-T. These achievements have enhanced DSL stability and increased data transmission rates.
Notably, one of these accomplishments received the prestigious National Patent Gold Award in China, an annual honor spanning diverse fields.
Furthermore, I successfully designed and developed a hardware circuit board that passed testing on the first try. Additionally, my research paper on multi-level modulation on optical fibers was published in the renowned OL (Optics Letters) journal.
If you had an out-of-town guest visiting the Seattle area, what three things would you recommend they do while in town?
While visiting the Seattle area, I would recommend the following activities to my guests:
A visit to the Boeing Company Museum is a must to delve into the captivating history of Boeing and immerse oneself in the world of aviation.
Stop by the iconic first Starbucks store in downtown Seattle, where you can savor a cup of coffee while experiencing the city's rich coffee culture and storied past.
Enjoy the beauty of Seattle's coastline, islands, and lakes by taking a memorable seaplane ride.
What have you always wanted to try but never have?
I want to design and create a high-end stereo sound system, including an amplifier and speakers. I want to use this self-made system to play my favorite music and fine-tune it to my preferred sound.
Additionally, I expect this system to be a perfect blend of craftsmanship, electronic engineering, aesthetics, and acoustics. I anticipate this process will be joyful and challenging, with numerous trial-and-error attempts requiring significant patience and several years of dedication.
