The drug delivery industry is expected to experience robust growth over the next five to ten years, primarily due to the increasing prevalence of chronic conditions, increase in biologic drug approvals and growing geriatric population.

Often, the most complex part of developing a therapeutic is to design an appropriate delivery system for it. The use of drug delivery technologies will continue to rise, as the industry focuses on more cost-effective, targeted, and patient-centered therapies.
